Writing Test – Team GB v Uruguay London 2012

RECENTLY I HAD A writing test for an online bookmaker, unfortunately I didn’t get the position but I thought I would publish some samples of the work on here to show potential employers what I can produce in a 60 minute deadline.

Preview

XX are giving customers Olympian offers when Team GB takes on Uruguay in their final men’s football group game this Wednesday at 19:45.

Popular options Double Delight and Hat Trick Heaven return as Stuart Pearce’s Team GB aim to reach the knockout stages of London 2012 at the Millennium Stadium.

Any winning first scorer bets will be returned as normal but should the same scorer add to his tally so will you, as second goals will be returned at double the odds and hat tricks three times. Meaning Hat-Trick Heaven all round.

Welshman Craig Bellamy (4/1 first GB scorer) looks a good option to add to his Olympic tally on home turf, but his Liverpool teammate and Uruguay star Luis Suarez has warned that Uruguay know Team GB a lot better than their two previous opponents.

Overall Introduction

Team GB head into tonight’s Millennium Stadium clash with Uruguay knowing that a draw will see them into the Olympic knockout stages for the first time since 1956. (GB and Uruguay 13/8 draw 9/4).

Stuart Pearce’s men started their campaign slowly against Senegal but seemed to come into their own with a 3-1 over a sprite UAE side.

Despite initial selection controversy GB have so far relied heavily on the contribution of Welsh contingent Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy. Coach  Stuart Pearce said:

“With those guys it’s the whole package, they get picked for what they can do ability-wise and they are great role models to the younger players.”

Despite needing just a draw Team GB can’t overlook a talented Uruguay side who need a win themselves to progress.

Liverpool’s 2011/12 top scorer Luis Suarez (11/2 first Uruguay scorer) and co could cause an upset when the teams meet at 19:45 on Wednesday.
