Tony Mowbray Needs You
Middlesbrough host Doncaster in the final game of the season this Saturday at 12:45 and with 19 goals in the last eight games it’s sure to be a good one.
Manager Tony Mowbray has appealed to fans to come down and support the team in their last game until August, Mowbray told TeesLive:
“It’s important that we finish the season with a good win to take the momentum into the summer and give our supporters positivity that we can be a real force next season.”
The game will wrap up what many have classed as a disappointing season, Boro were favourites for the title before the first game but a torrid run of results and the sacking of manager Gordon Strachan lead to a flirt with relegation at the mid-season mark.
But the appointment of ex-Middlesbrough captain and local lad Tony Mowbray has seen a turn of fortunes for the club, who have now only lost one game in the last 11 including a 3-0 win over promotion candidates Cardiff last weekend.
Fans can also expect to see the unveiling of the new home shirt on Saturday as is tradition.
Tickets for Boro’s final game are on sale now from both ticket offices and online through mfc.co.uk with prices starting at just £8 for Boro Pride members under 18 and going up to £37 for none-Pride Member Adults.
Tickets are also still on sale for The Gary Parkinson Charity match which was featured on TeesLive last week.
